(URGENT) How to get a replacement for both title and registration?

Bad news: my mom lost both her car's title and registration, and we're lost about what to do now
Can we get replacements for both the title and registration? How do you even do that?

Yes, you can get replacement titles and registrations in Texas. The first thing you'll have to do with replacing the title is complete the Form VTR-34 - you can download and print this out from the DMV website - and submit it at your local DMV office or by mail. The DMV might also request proof of identity and some fees for the replacement.
On the other hand, if you want to replace the registration, just visit your county tax office to apply for a duplicate registration receipt. They might require that you bring your license plate number or other vehicle information. For more specifics, I'd suggest checking out the Texas DMV's website for the entire process.
