I'm trying to register my car in California for the first time but I don't know how much it will cost (heard it's expensive here!?)

Also are there any other fees that I have to pay besides the registration fee?

Hi there, in California, the registration fee will change based on your car's value, but you should also expect some extra charges like the Vehicle License Fee (VLF), specific fees depending on the county or district, and you might also have to pay the smog abatement fee (but usually only if your car is exempt from a smog check)!
